BLOGMAS DAY FIFTEEN: MEETING FATHER CHRISTMAS!

Sunday, 15 December 2013
Hello! Today's post I'm going to tell you what I've done today, as you can probably guess from the title, it was very exciting! I met Santa! I really shouldn't be so excited about that, being that I'm 14 and all but, hey, who cares, right? It's Christmas, if you can't be childish then, when can you be?!

I woke up at 8:30 (ugh) which was definitely the worse part of the day as I am a firm believer that Sunday's are lie in days, I wasn't happy. We were up and out of the door by 9:30 as we had to go and pick up my eldest sister, my baby niece Ivy and my nephew Brandon. Once we had crammed everyone into the car we were off! (Just to let you know, the event where you could meet Santa was at a local department store, I'm not going to say where, security reasons and all!)

Unfortunately it was pouring down with rain so we had to wait outside for them to open the doors in a mini storm - fun times! When they had finally let us in, each family were given table names and then shown to our seats. At the tables, there were Christmassy drawings to colour in, party popper, crackers, balloons etc. There was no way you could be bored!

We then got to choose what we had for breakfast - I had pancakes with blueberries and raspberries on top, it was delicious! After finishing our breakfasts, Father Christmas made an appearance! He came round to every single table to say hello to the children and to take pictures with them. Brandon, my nephew, was very happy as Father Christmas came to our table first and gave him a present! It's safe to say, Brandon was very happy.

Whilst Father Christmas was saying hello to the rest of the children, a magician came round to each table to entertain them. He did a few magic tricks and then made us a balloon animal hat each, he was actually pretty good!

After that you could choose what you wanted to do, you could either stay at your table and do some colouring, go and make some Christmas decorations with Santa's Elves, or play pin Rudolph's nose back on! There was something for everyone! We did all of these activities and actually had a lot of fun, even if the event was meant for children...

At 12 o'clock it was time to leave and none of the children were very happy about that! But, after a lot of moaning and sighing, we were all in the car ready to go home. We dropped my sister and my niece and nephew home again then headed home ourselves. Since then I have done nothing all day - a day well spent I think!

Thank you for reading!

Megan
