BLOGMAS DAY NINE: WISHLIST

Monday, 15 December 2014
Unfortunately there are many items that I am yet to own, over on my wishlist but here are a few of my favourite things;

Rimmel Lasting Finish Kate Lipstick, Shade 30

This shade is so beautiful, I feel as though it's the perfect shade for Winter, it's a mixture of berry red and fuchsia, soo nice! Plus I adore the finish of these lipsticks.

Clear Acrylic Make- Up Organiser

This is what it says it is, you really can't go wrong with it! I just think that it's a really nice alternative way of storing your make-up and it goes with any colour scheme - bonus!

Pretty Honest: The Straight-Talking Beauty Companion (Hardback)

I've had my eye on this for a while and now I'm just anxious to get my hands on and read all about Sali Hughes' beauty secrets etc. This book would be perfect for any beauty/skincare lover.

Eye Starter Kit, Real Techniques

I am in dire need of some new eyeshadow brushes and since hearing so many great reviews about these particular ones, I though I'd give them a try! I've used quite a few of these brushes before and really like them.

Deep Red Faux Fur Throw

I'm re-decorating my room with a grey and dark red colour scheme and since I love faux fur, I saw this and fell in love! It's so beautiful and soft :( I wanttttt!

Kurt Geiger Star Boots

If you happen to know me well, (lucky you oo) then you will be familiar with my obsession with boots, specifically black ankle ones.. These one are just stunning, but unfortunately are a little out of my price range :( One day, eh?

What things are the top of your wislist right now?

BLOGMAS DAY EIGHT: LIST OF THINGS I WON'T EVER OWN ENTITLED 'WISHLIST'

Saturday, 13 December 2014
Everyone has a few things they wish for over Christmas, don't they? What I have done is I made an online wishlist at Wishlistr, it is super easy and you can add links to everything you want! I have found that this way, I can give the link to my Mother as she was stuck for what to get me for Christmas! I also will find it satisfying to cross things off if they're received as gifts or if I buy them.

Samsung Galaxy S5
I have had a Blackberry for two years now and it just doesn't do what I would like it to do! This phone is my dream phone as I just think it is stunning and does everything you could want and more! I know this is a rather expensive presents and I've never asked for something so expensive before which is why I do not expect I would get one. Though. if I open this present, I may cry...

A new coat
There are so many coats I want!! From Black to Camel to Grey... I want them all! I really like the 'Coocoon' style at the moment, along with the 'Boyfriend' and maybe throw in a biker jacket, eh? I am most likely not going to get any, so in the sales I'm going to have to pick up a couple aren't I?

Chunky Heeled Chelsea Boots
Chelsea Boots go with almost everything and are a staple I do not currently own, as I love chunky heels, then it makes sense to mix the two together... These two make the perfect pair of boots and Newlook sell them for as little as £24.99!

Onesie
I have never owned a onesie and I feel deprived, there are so many I want but this one is just adorable! I always get Pyjamas in my stocking so maybe I'll get a onesie this year!

Real Techniques Brushes
I currently only own two, I want to build my collection up, I want the Powder Brush, Core Collection, Eye Starter Kit and the Lash-Brow Groomer. After that I can start to get more and more until I have them all, Wooo!

MUA LUXE
I have to say, their products aren't exactly renowned for their quality, but I have heard great things about the LUXEs. With high staying-power and pigmentation, leaving a matte finish they're everything I've been looking for in life. For £3, you can't go wrong, can you? I may buy myself the whole collection as there isn't a shade I don't like!

So they're just a few of the things, some on my Wishlistr, some not!

What are you hoping for this year?

Amy

BLOGMAS DAY SIX: FAVOURITE CHRISTMAS FILMS & TV SPECIALS

Saturday, 6 December 2014
December is going so quickly, we're already a week in, how?! Anyway, here a few of my favourite things to snuggle up and watch around Christmas..

FILMS;
  1. Elf - I have not met one person who either hasn't watched or hasn't liked it.. I think that says something about it! Elf's just fab, you really can't wrong with it.
  2. Serendipity - Not only is this one of my favourite Christmas films but it's also one of my favourite films ever! It's so cute and cheesy but that just makes me love it more! It also kind of makes me believe in fate.. especially at Christmas time, haha.
  3. The Holiday - Such a romantic and christmassy film, aw.
  4.  The Santa Claus (trilogy) - These films are basically my childhood.. I love them all! Nothing like a bit of Christmas tragedy ending happily, eh?
  5. How the Grinch stole Christmas - I always get named after the Grinch as apparently we're quite similar; refuse to admit to having feelings but actually have big hearts, I guess that's kinda sweet actually? Anyway, this film is so different to any other film (as are all the ones I've already mentioned) and I've always loved it. Plus, it has a young Taylor Momsen in - bonus!
  6. Home Alone (1&2) - The whole concept that you could accidentally leave your child at home not once, but twice, completely baffles me! Never the less, I love both os these films and they make laugh so much! (The best kind of Christmas films).
TV SPECIALS;
  1. Made in Chelsea (2011) - Ever since this episode, the Made in Chelsea Christmas Specials just haven't lived up t the same standard - drama, joy and more drama. It's such a good episode with a satisfying ending. (And it was the series that, in my opinion, had the best cast).
  2. Miranda (2010) - Who doesn't love Miranda? This episode is absolutely hilarious and always gets me in the christmassy spirit. I really do just love her and her show and I'm so excited for her new special the year! Followed my the final episode on New Years, which is really sad. :(
  3. Gavin & Stacey (2008) - I watch this waaaaaay too much; I downloaded it onto my iPad a couple of years ago and on the run up to Christmas I tend to fall asleep with it playing, is that weird? It's so funny, slightly sad, but nonetheless, it's christmasy and entertaining! And if you haven't watched Gavin & Stacey then oh my god, do! You won't regret it.
  4. Outnumbered (2009, 2011 & 2012) - I love all of the specials from this show - there's always lint-hearted tragedies and the storylines are always hilarious. The kids are so cute and witty s well! such a good show aw, especially when it's festive!
  5. Doctor Who (2005 - 2014) - Not gonna lie, Christmas day wouldn't be the same if the whole family (well most) wasn't sat around watching the Doctor save the world in a festive fashion! Plus I've pretty much been in love with this programme since the new series aired, whoops.
  6. Downton Abbey (2012) - I loooove this episode, it's so dramatic and so many good things happen! I'm not going to ruin it for you but two characters finallyyyy get together (eek)! It's so pretty and festive as well, with such beautiful scenery!

What do you like to watch at Christmas?

BLOGMAS DAY FIVE: FAVOURITE CHRISTMAS FILMS

Christmas films: you either love them or you hate them. I, personally, love them, they're so happy and everything ends happily! What more do you want for the supposed 'season to be merry'. Some of my favourites have to be:

Annabelle's Wish
For those of you who have not watched this film, it is basically based around the old legend that Santa Claus gives animals the ability to speak on Christmas Eve. Annabelle is born on Christmas Eve and upon meeting Santa she is fascinated by the Reindeer and their abilities to fly. She befriends the Farmer's Grandson who is mute due to a fire on the farm. When Annabelle gives up her ability to speak, Billy gets it permanently. When Billy marries, Annabelle's wish is granted, she is now one of Santa's Reindeer and re-gains her ability to speak in the process. I love this film because it is just so warming and it was always my favourite growing up! I remember owning it on video and getting so excited when watching it!

It's a Wonderful Life
I haven't actually watched this for years so am a little unsure of the plot off the top of my head. I just remember my Mum loving it, and one year my Brother buying her the black & white and coloured version... I watched it and soon came to realise why my Mother loved it so much!

Home Alone 1&2
I just love these with with MC in, I feel that when they changed the characters it kind of lost it's touch a bit. It always confuses me as to how you can leave a child at home, and to then do the same thing again? You should learn from your mistakes!!! Rant over, I just love this film and it always makes me laugh...

The Holiday
This has to be the cutest film! I actually only first watched it fully a few months ago, but I'm so glad I did! It's just so cosy and makes you jealous as to why you don't live in such a cute cottage at this time of year! Dammit life.

Serendipity
I only watched this for the first time the other month, but it is so cute! It makes you annoyed slightly though, as to how close they are to each other, yet keep missing one another. It contains all the stereotypical things to do in the Holiday's puts you in a rather festive mood.

I have many more, I just can't put my finger on them right now! What are your favourite Christmas films then?

P.s. Sorry this is a tad late, completely forgot!!!

BLOGMAS DAY FOUR: NOVEMBER FAVOURITES

Throughout the month of November I haven't been loving an awful lot but here are some of the few things that I have been enjoying..

YSL Crème De Blush in Shade 1 - This is such a gores product and if I'm honest, blusher has always scared me in the past, especially cream ones! But it's so easy to apply and it's such a pretty colour, quit peachy with a hint of coral - not usually want I would go for in the Wintertime but I felt that my face needed that extra something as it was looking so dull. It stays on all days and has a lovely sheen to it - I may be tempted to try some more cream blushes..

Lancôme Colour Design Golden Frenzy Palette - Oh. My. God. This is such an amazing product and so suitable for this tie of this year - I really cannot express my love enough for tho palette! IT has five colours in; a matte brown, a dark glittery goldy/brown, a shimmery gold, a cream glitter shimmer and a dark grey, almost black shimmer. It's solo beautiful and I keep using this to create the perfect Christmassy look.

Real Techniques Stippling Brush - I've owned this for nearly a year now and have only just started to really use it, god knows why - it's fab! It gives an even coverage from light to medium (buildable) with a liquid foundation and is so easy to blend in with.

Garnier Miceller Water  - I purchased this a couple of weeks a go and I absolutely adore it! It takes my face and eye make-up off very easily and leaves my skin looking and feeling extremely nice. Such a bargain as well!

Fairy Lights - I just think that fairy lights are perfect for around this time of year and add a touch of christmassy excitement to everything! (is that even a thing??) They make everything so cosy and pretty - you really cannot go wrong, especially not with the warm white ones! Soooo festive!

Festive Bakewells - You can't get much more festive than with these. Just your average bake well tart here from Mr. Kipling but topped with different coloured balls in different festive shades. The normal Cherry Bakewells are amazing but festive ones? My new favourite treat by far.

America's Next Top Model, Cycle 21 - Okay, so it's no secret that I'm a tad obsessed with this program but especially this cycle! (and the last one, oops) It's so entertaining whilst incorporating the industry and everything else fashion/model related into it - could I ask for more?

Taylor Swift - I've fallen back in love with Taylor Swift.. I haven't binge listened to her music in a about year but in the past month she's pretty much all I've been listening to.. And she's brought out a new album which is amazingggg! I love her not only her and her voice but also her songs are so intricately written and perfected, so beautiful.

Turns I actually had a lot of favourites this month.. my bad. What things have you been loving this past month?

P.S wow.. we're already behind, typical us, sorry!

BLOGMAS DAY THREE: NOVEMBER FAVOURITES

Wednesday, 3 December 2014
It's day threeeeeeee! I can't even comprehend how happy that makes me! We haven't really done a Favourites Post for a month or two, and as we're in that Blog-ey/ Christmas-ey spirit we thought 'why the hell not?' I'm not actually too sure how many I have, I've planned a couple,  but I'm hoping they come to me whilst writing. Okay, So I'm gonna get on with it as I'm just rambling on at the moment, woops.

Beauty
Forever Living Bee Propolis Creme - This works like a miracle... No word of a lie. I had this weird red, itchy dry patch of skin on my right arm, and for years I didn't know what it was, I had tried everything: extensive moisture, any product I could find online, etc. My Mother has a business called 'Bee Forever You' in which she sells the Forever Living products (shout out to my Mum because why not). She had this product which has been known to dramatically help Eczema, Acne and with one of her other products even Psoriasis, so me willing to try anything gave it a go, within two weeks, if that, it had all gone. It is so fab, I did stop using it and notice it coming back, but with continued use, it worked, and really worked. If you want any more information on Bee Propolis Creme or any other Forever Living product, you can E-mail me, or go to https://www.facebook.com/beeforeveryou

Forever Living Aloe Lips - So as some of you may know, I'm a bit of a lip balm junkie (sorry not sorry), and Forever Living do a lip balm, and it is the nicest lip balm I have ever used, no word of a lie... It really nourishes your lips and stays balmy on them for a while... It comes in a stick so that's always a good thing. I love it so much that I have even gone and bought some off my Mum for my friends for Christmas... Also you can contact me or go to the link above for details and ways to buy etc.

Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation - Guess who got Acne? Me, lol. The name 'Vulgaris' really is quite fitting. Got a wee bit sidetracked there.. My bad. Anyway, the extra dash of coverage within this foundation really helps, being a full coverage foundation means that I can hide behind it and pretend I'm flawless (you should try it, it's great). This foundation really is fab, it does last ALL day, I haven't tried it for 25 hours, but I have but it on at 7am and taken it off at 2 and it still look good. With other foundations I've used in the past I've found they don't agree with my nose and they seem to depart, leaving me looking like Rudolph. With this one, though it's Christmas, this isn't the case, and I'm super happy I have this foundation in my life.

Real Techniques Stippling Brush - Since Christmas (last year) I was always using my Expert Face Brush I soon wanted a change and in the Summer I became the proud owner of the Stippling Brush up until last month I was always scared to use it as it is supposed to create a lighter coverage, I don't feel that was the case. I feel it leaves my face looking airbrushed and lovely, also the brush looks cool. I would highly recommend this brush it's just fab.

Johnsons Baby Shampoo - I always knew you should was your brushes regularly otherwise its vile and just no. Yet only like a month or two ago I started doing it as regularly as once every 1-2 weeks, what I use is simply just this and some warm water... It's so effortless to wash your brushes regularly and with this shampoo it doesn't have any harsh chemicals to harm your bristles. Also, if you're as clumsy as me, it's 'no tears', so even if you have a 'blonde moment' and slip getting it into your eye, it won't make you cry, it's the injuries that'll do that for you!

Food (yay)
Quorn Scotch Eggs - So as of the 24th of October I became a Pescitarian, I have had plenty of Quorn products in the past but these are by far my favourites (hence why they're here). For those of you who do not know what Scotch Eggs are, they're little balls off egg bits, covered in sausage meat (in this case Quorn and topped off with bread crumbs! They're super delicious and as I refer to them (only in my head, shush) 'Little Balls Of Happiness'.

Onion Bhajis - Everyone needs a little Bhaji in their lives, I mean, I may be spelling it wrong but lets hope not. I'm fussy when it comes to buffets. as I hate having food that other people may have touched, so I'm picky with them, and sandwiches are a no-go, but Bhajis, well they're always taken, because they're fab.

Music
Arctic Monkeys - When The Sun Goes Down - Please don't ask me why, but this song always cheers me up, maybe it just reminds me of when I was younger at my Mum's, I do recall Oliver being an Arctic Monkeys fan? Maybe, I don't know. It came out 2006 so I would have been 7? Yeah, that makes sense!

So, they're November's favourites from the top of my head, what are yours?

BLOGMAS DAY ONE: CHRISTMAS PLAYLIST

Monday, 1 December 2014
So everybody has the songs that are incredibly over played without noticing, or they loathe at this time of year. Most, intact, all Christmas songs are over-played and you can walk from store to store and hear the same song ten times in different stores. I have my personal favourites and Michael Buble tends to occur an awful lot in my playlist, so here goes nothing.

Michael Buble 'Christmas' (Baby Please Come Home)
This has to be one of the greatest songs to come on in the car at Christmas. I have to admit, when it does, I erupt into song, much to my Father's discontent.

The Pogues feat. Kirsty MacColl 'Fairytale Of New York'
Oh my, this song, this song has always been my all time favourite Christmas song. It's just so lovely to listen to, it almost makes you unwilling to sing along, which is rare for me!

Bing Crosby 'White Christmas'
Isn't this song just marvellous? It makes you feel all warm and cosy inside and this is definitely a great one to sing to. I'm rather amused by how low my own voice can get to...

Gabriella Cilmi 'Warm This Winter'
Now this brings back memories! I don't know whether any of you reading this read any of our Blogmas' from last year? We both sang this at the Christmas Concert held at out school. This song is so lovely and cosy and her voice is amazing!

Band Aid 'Do They Know It's Christmas Time'
Yet another that brings back memories! So, a few years ago I had a solo singing this and we had to perform it in front of all of the school eating their Christmas Dinners... Turns out I get stage fright in front of people I know, so mid-line I froze and erupted into tears... Not my brightest move I have to admit. The reason I chose the original over the new one is I think you cannot beat this version, for me I think that the sound of George Michael (and other of course) this really makes Christmas and I doubt that will change anytime soon! But y'know, hats off to the other versions!

Andy Williams 'It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year'
Well isn't this just amazing? This song always makes me smile and happy, it's just one of those songs! It gets you ready for Christmas and it's just a classic.

Bing Crosby 'It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas'
This song is so cute! I love it, and I guess that's why it's on here? Obviously.

Shaking Stevens 'Merry Christmas Everybody'
Now this just screams Christmas, and Shaking Stevens? Well, need I say more? I think not.

Slade 'I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday'
I did used to want it to be Christmas everyday, until I realised the charm would wear off and it would be very expensive, also, what would you look forward to then???

Wham 'Last Christmas'
This song is so fab! It's great sing really loudly to, and it's one of those you can't sound too bad with, so perfect for me! Woopwoop!

So they were my top 10 Christmas songs! What are yours?

I have also created a Spotify playlist of all of these songs and I'll leave the link below if you want it, I will most likely keep adding to it as the month progresses...

INTRODUCTION TO BLOGMAS

It's that time of the year again! Wooopwooop, I don't think I can explain how happy that makes me!

So for this year's Blogmas we have a basic schedule that I would leak to you, but then again we're going to end up not sticking to it, so I feel it would be a waste and letting ourselves down, like, if we keep it to ourselves we can pretend we haven't failed, but when it's exposed, well, then it gets bad.

We will try and keep alternating with posts like last year, with the occasional joint post!

Is there anything in particular you would want to see? Whether it be a makeup tutorial or a baking post? Ideas welcome below or you can always tweet us etc!

Thankyou and Merry Christmas

BLOGMAS DAY 24: MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Tuesday, 24 December 2013

It's CHRISTMAS EVE, as I'm sure you're all probably aware of, and this is the end of Blogmas, it certainly has been tough, you don't really think daily blogging would be hard, and it wouldn't, if you didn't have rules like 'internet off at nine' or 'banned off of your laptop' and I'm sorry for missing a few days, and we know that we could have put more effort into a few of the days, but I hope it has been a substantial amount of LAOR to keep you going, haha. This month has been full of surprises, like reaching 1K, and scoring views in LOADS of countries!

None of this would have happened without you beautiful people, and we would just like to say thank you, and spread a little Christmas joy to y'all *poof* there you go! A lot of people probably won't read this post as they'll be off playing board games and appreciating their families a lot more over the holiday period, in fact, I've just taken a break out of Monopoly to write this!

I'm not going to ruin your Christmas' by bringing up the fact that there are people out there that aren't as fortunate as us, and maybe even you! If you aren't as fortunate as we are, if you are missing loved ones, then an even bigger Merry Christmas, we haven't forgotten the less fortunate y'know! So a the less fortunate y'know! So a huge thank you and another big Merry Christmas to you all! I hope its fantastic and full of joy!

Also, on boxing day, I will be heading to my Mums for 10 days, and she doesn't have wifi, or a laptop (that works) so, I'm not sure whether I will be able to post for a while, I may steal my Mum's phone to post, if I can, and I'll see where it goes from there! Sorry, if this is the last post from me for a while, but I'm sure you'll be pleased to see the back of me, I'm right aren't I? Sad times!

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Love from,

Amy & Megan

BLOMAS DAY TWENTY THREE: FESTIVE NAILS!

Aloha Beautiful People (I like that greeting, that could be a regular, hm.) so, as you can most probably tell from the title of this post you are currently reading, today I will be sharing some of my favourite festive nail arts! Y'see, I LOVE nail art, but am TERRIBLE at it, I don't know why, maybe i have shaky hands? I don't know? Whenever that rare moment does occur that my nails look fabulous, I tend to smudge them... That is why I tend to just give up! So, on this fine occasion, I will be shaing some of my faves to try out this season, and I don't know weather I've mentioned this yet, but... IT'S NEARLY CHRISTMASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!! As you can see, I'm a wee but excited! *insert winky face*

The very first wintery  nail art I tried out, was back in September I think, I was getting excited, and was feeling a wee bit creative! It was a pale, pastelly grey base, with little metalic, white to pink shiny, stars, it was so cute! Also, fetching a few compliments, not to gloat or anything *inserts yet another winky face*. The annoying part was that they were perfect, no smudges, nothing, bu then temptation challenged my self controll and one thing led to another, I had picked all of those cutesy little stars off, without even a picture to share with the world! Yes, thats another thing about this post, there won't be alot of pictures, of the good ones, 'cause I forgot to take them, MAYBE in the new year I could recreate some of them? I only said maybe!

The next one I'm going to feature is my current design (THAT HASN'T FAILED!) It is basically just a bright red, with little diamantes covering two nails per hand, I just think it's so simple and Christmassy, you can't go wrong! The picture I am going to feature, is one that was taken just before I had tidied it up (I'm a messy painter, sorry.) Also the bad thing is now, that I have had that particular design for a while, four days, I think? When I was doing the vacuuming, I managed to lose a whole nail, seriously, I must have rubbed it on something without letting it dry properly, and the nailvarnish came off, taking the diamantes with it!

These ones were a total fail, it was an attempt at a cute tartan that I tried the other day, and all of the lines were too chunky and it basically just looked horrid! Though I did take a picture for your satisfaction, and for my humiliation here you go:

 PLEASE DON'T LAUGH AT ME!

So that is all I have time for! SORRY! Last of Blogmas coming up soon! AGHHH! It hasn't been easy, that's a deadcert! Enough of that, or there won't be anything left for day twenty four! SEE YOU SOOOOOOOOON!
Amy

BLOGMAS DAY TWENTY-TWO: NOVEMBER FAVOURITES!

Sunday, 22 December 2013
IT'S NEARLY CHRISTMAS! And as it's now December we thought it was only fair to share our November favourites! It's a bit late into this month but oh well!

BEAUTY:

Amy:

Clinique Foaming Cleanser. I love this, its so easy to use, and it gets rid of your make up really quick and easily! Also it's a lovely pearly colour as well!

I'VE FOUND A NEW HAND CREAM! So as some of you may know, I have a wee obsession with these products. It's really hard to find a good handcream, non greasy, quick absorbing, and that actually works, but I have! Drum roll please... MANDARA SPA! I have one by this brand and I love it, it fits all of the criteria and it also has a hint of an almondy scent! top marks!

Elemis Lip Repar. This is such a good product, it has a minty scent, and has these little micro particals, which kind of act as a scrub, love this!

Megan:

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder.

Okay, so I finally purchased this after hearing good things about it from so many people. Although the packaging isn't the best, the product inside is amazing! It does exactly what you need it to do - set your make-up, which it does really well! My make-up now stays out for the entire day and still looks good at the end of the day. It's doesn't dry out my skin or stick to any parts of my face, I can tell that I will be repurchasing this over and over again.

Neutregena facial wash/mask:

Oh. My. God. I don't have the best skin - I'm quite spotty and get dry skin quite a lot, however since using this 2-in-1 wash/mask, my skin has cleared up so much! I know only have two or three spots and my skin is so soft and smooth! I LOVE it! I use twice a day as a wash, once in the morning before I put on my make-up and then in the evening to take off my make-up (it works as a cleanser). I then use it as a mask at the weekends when I have time to relax or whenever I feel like my skin needs it.

MUSIC:

Amy:

It HAS to be Story Of My Life - One Direction, It's just an AMAZING song, and not just 'cause it's One Direction either! The video is really cute as well! what are your thoughts on it?

Megan:

I have been loving is Ed sheeran so much recently! I've always enjoyed his music but recently I downloaded his whole album and fell completely in love with him and his voice! The lyrics are so deep and meaningful, and he has such a calming voice! He's just purely amazing!

RANDOM:

Amy: REESE'S PEANUT BUTTER CUPS - OMG! I love these! they're soo good, I dont even know if I like peanut butter... But these... These are just, mmm.

Megan:

Company magazine:

The first thing I've been loving over the past month is company magazine - It's priced at £2.50 and it sometimes comes with free gifts such as nail varnish. It's always on trend and has some great material. The writers are funny, witty and intelligent and write about various subjects - good value for money!

Cardiff:

As you know, I recently went to Cardiff (photo diary up soon - I promise!) and it was absolutely amazing! I went there a few years ago but I didn't get a chance to visit the city centre. However, this time I spent a day and a half just wondering around the city centre - it's any shoppers dream! It doesn't get too busy, everything is close together, there are lots of cute cafés but most importantly, there are so many shops! House of Fraser, Topshop, Hollister, Superdry, H&M, New Look, Dorothy Perkins, John Lewis...the list is endless! I will definitely be going back soon!

Halls throat sweets:

Whilst I was in Cardiff, I developed a horrible cold and could hardly speak so I purchased some halls throat sweets - they literally saved my life! I was back to normal within two days. Although they don't have the best taste, they soothed my throat and cleared my head and nose!

Hope you enjoyed this post, what things did you enjoy in November?

BLOGMAS DAY TWENTY-ONE: FEELING HAPPY!

Saturday, 21 December 2013
So this is a bit of a random post today but I didn't know what to write about so I decided to tell all you guys about certain aspects of my life that are starting to look up! For a while I've been very stressed due to school work and family and friend issues, but recently things have turned around a lot!

1: School

School has now finished as its the Christmas holiday's (eek) but I finally feel like I'm on top of everything. All the exams I've recently had, I feel like I've done well and any results I've got have been B+! I don't mean to blow my own trumpet but I am quite proud of myself and hope that over the next year and a half I can keep it up!

2: Friends

For some reason, probably because of all the stress at school, I seem to have fallen out with a lot of my friends, but luckily, we've all made up! All the petty little problems that seemed to matter so much to me a few weeks ago, don't matter at all now, and I can now say, I trust every single one of my friends and I really don't know what I'd do without them!

3: Family

In the past year, there have been A LOT of issues in my family, but they have all seemed to sort themselves out I the past few weeks and everyone seems to be a lot happier and in the festive spirit so yay! This makes me super happy as I love my family so much and wish them all the best.

4: KATRINA

I don't know if many of you know but one of my best friends (not Amy) moved up to Scotland a few years ago. Her name's Katrina and we've been best friends since we were 7. I went on holiday with her earlier this year and we had so much fun, but I was very sad when I had to leave her :( But now I am so happy as a couple of days ago, I found out that she coming down to Devon for New Years Eve and staying at mine, I'm so excited! She is honestly one of the best people in my life and I don't know what I'd do without her! I'm especially happy as I didn't think I'd be seeing her for a while, being that I we live about 600 miles apart!

So that's all the good things in my life right now and I can finally say and mean it when I do, I'm in such a good place in my life! This year has been quite difficult for me, but I can definitely say that I've come out of it stronger! And on top of all that, Christmas is in four days! YAY!

I hope you enjoyed this slightly different post, I'm going to end it with a quote I find very apt for this subject as, although I feel like everything's falling into place in my life, I know that will be more obstacles to overcome, but that's okay.

'Happiness is a mood, a feeling, a condition, not a destination. It's like being tired or hungry, its not permanent. It come and goes and that's okay, we all struggle sometimes.'

BLOGMAS DAY TWENTY: COSY NIGHT IN!

Friday, 20 December 2013
So yesterday we broke up from school, only having a half day! HURRAH! We then went into town, in the hail and torrential winds, might I add! I was doing the thing that they do in movies, when they spin in the pouring rain, 'twas fun! Also, we found BIG puddles, lakes almost, and I was skidding through them! Bearing in mind, I was wearing tights, that 'twas also fun! WE SAW A DOUBLE RAINBOW! Now that's a story! It was beautifulllllllll!

When I went home I decide it was best to have a cosy night so I went to run me-self a bath! I decided to go all out with my bath contents! I used bath caviar (pink) and bath salts (also pink), I then used Melting bath roses, that were lovely, and topped it with fake rose petals! It was lovely!

What bath is complete without a Rubber Duck?

After my moderately long bath, I decided on having a scrummy Hot Chocolate in my new Christmas mug! I got this filled with sweets from Elley! YAY!

YAY! I also had my new Christmas socks from Abbie too!

YOU LIKEEEE?

I think it's safe to say I was all cosy when I went to bed last night!

Sorry this isn't the most exciting Blogmas episode! Tell us in the comments what you would like to see us do in the future? THANKYOUUU!

BLOGMAS DAY EIGHTEEN: UPDATED WINTER MAKEUP TUTORIAL!

Wednesday, 18 December 2013
SO THEN! I know I did this same post a week or two ago, but it seemes that as soon as I posted that, I ditched the eyeshadow, and just changed my look really! Also, I realised how bad it looked, and those pictures weren't the most flattering, were they! Also, this will be a mix between getting ready for the Christmas Concert, do the pictures may alternate between School Uniform and my PJs!

As you will know, on my Christmas haul post, I had bought myself some new make up, hurrah! Thank god too, as my colours were all wrong, and I didn't have any power to set, that oily mess! So hopefully, todays will be a huge improvement, tell me in the comments, ye?

BASE:

For the base to my look, I use Rimmel Match Perfection in 103: True Ivory, I love this soo much! I then powder up with the Rimmel Stay Matte, When I went to buy this, they didn't have any Translucent left, so I bought it in Peach Glow instead!

EYES:

So, I do still wear eye shadow, just a light, shimmery one that Megan gave me! I've now gone for eyeliner, which started simple, and has now erupted into something a little more dramatic, but its like a disease, I can't get rid of it! It's a habit now!

Don't worry, after this pic, I did fill in that awful gap!

MASCARA! I don't really know why I didn't put this under the eye section, and to be honest, I can't be bothered to change it now, so I'm just gonna go with the flow!

SEE! I TOLD YOU IT WOULD CHANGE!

BRONZER:

Now, I don't usually do bronzer anymore (as you can see from the picture above) but for the Christmas Concert I did, lightly!

WOAH! My nose looks hige here, ah well!

So, thats my tutorial done! D'ya like it? I do sometimes steal a nice lipsick off of Megan when she brings it into school, but I tend not to buy lipsicks! Sticking to the balm! Haha! Do send us links to your own Blogmases! I shall see YOU soon! Bubye!

Amy

(omg, I couldn't get it off of bold!)

BLOGMAS DAY SEVENTEEN: CHRISTMAS CONCERT!

Tuesday, 17 December 2013
Hera guys, this is just gonna be a super short post as I am sooooooo tired! I literally just got back from our school's Christmas concert! It was so much fun!

Me and Amy are both in choir, in which we performed many songs, including All I want for Christmas is you, Let it snow, Deck the halls, Hallelujah and our own little Christmas medley! We also had our own solo song that we sang; Warm this winter, by Gabriella Cilmi.

It's safe to say that the past two days have been extremely stressful for the both us! We had to rehearse for choir, our own solo song AND I had to finish my science exam today! I've been so busy I haven't eaten yet, which is quite bad...oh well.

Even though we were very nervous, we got up on stage and performed and I, personally, think it went great, I was a bit out of time at the start, but other than that, it was good considering how much we were both shaking when we walked on stage!

I had a really fun night, everyone was in really good moods and singing Christmassy songs and got me in the festive spirit!

Sorry about this short post! Hope you enjoyed it,

Megan

BLOGMAS DAY FIFTEEN: MEETING FATHER CHRISTMAS!

Sunday, 15 December 2013
Hello! Today's post I'm going to tell you what I've done today, as you can probably guess from the title, it was very exciting! I met Santa! I really shouldn't be so excited about that, being that I'm 14 and all but, hey, who cares, right? It's Christmas, if you can't be childish then, when can you be?!

I woke up at 8:30 (ugh) which was definitely the worse part of the day as I am a firm believer that Sunday's are lie in days, I wasn't happy. We were up and out of the door by 9:30 as we had to go and pick up my eldest sister, my baby niece Ivy and my nephew Brandon. Once we had crammed everyone into the car we were off! (Just to let you know, the event where you could meet Santa was at a local department store, I'm not going to say where, security reasons and all!)

Unfortunately it was pouring down with rain so we had to wait outside for them to open the doors in a mini storm - fun times! When they had finally let us in, each family were given table names and then shown to our seats. At the tables, there were Christmassy drawings to colour in, party popper, crackers, balloons etc. There was no way you could be bored!

We then got to choose what we had for breakfast - I had pancakes with blueberries and raspberries on top, it was delicious! After finishing our breakfasts, Father Christmas made an appearance! He came round to every single table to say hello to the children and to take pictures with them. Brandon, my nephew, was very happy as Father Christmas came to our table first and gave him a present! It's safe to say, Brandon was very happy.

Whilst Father Christmas was saying hello to the rest of the children, a magician came round to each table to entertain them. He did a few magic tricks and then made us a balloon animal hat each, he was actually pretty good!

After that you could choose what you wanted to do, you could either stay at your table and do some colouring, go and make some Christmas decorations with Santa's Elves, or play pin Rudolph's nose back on! There was something for everyone! We did all of these activities and actually had a lot of fun, even if the event was meant for children...

At 12 o'clock it was time to leave and none of the children were very happy about that! But, after a lot of moaning and sighing, we were all in the car ready to go home. We dropped my sister and my niece and nephew home again then headed home ourselves. Since then I have done nothing all day - a day well spent I think!

Thank you for reading!

Megan
